XIMSIBO contains Rifaximin, a non-absorbable, gastrointestinal-selective antibiotic with broad-spectrum activity against both gram-negative and gram-positive, aerobic and anaerobic bacteria, through the inhibition of bacterial RNA synthesis.

- Negligible Gl absorption – Lower risk of systemic side effects compared to other antibiotics such as metronidazole.
- It is effective for the treatment of IBS-D and SIBO.
